Explora is the first non-profit Children’s Museum in Italy. Since 2001, it hosts schools and families. Each year and offers educational activities and workshops on subjects such as Science, New Technologies, Environment, Art and Research, supporting culture and knowledge.
The Museum offers children an opportunity to play, experiment and learn in the field as well as occasions for socialization and education; it also promotes the development of children’s cognitive and emotional capacities.
The informal approach, learning by doing, allows planning activities based on hands-on learning that let children learn by doing and develop observation skills through exciting and amusing experiences, designed for all age groups.
Explora has been implementing a series of national, European and international projects, building solid networks with private and public institutions, in Italy and in Europe.
The Museum is member of Ecsite, the European network of Science Centres and Museums, Hands On! International, a network representing the Children’s Museums in the world; it part of the O.M.R. of the Lazio Region and an Associate of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS).
